Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, says President Buhari
is in high spirit and would soon return home. Osinbajo paid President Buhari a visit in London yesterday evening.
Speaking to state house correspondents just before the Federal Executive Council meeting, Osinbajo said;
"First you know I went to see him to check up on him
and find out how he was doing. I have been speaking to
him on the phone and I thought it would be a good thing
to go and see him and check up on how he was doing
and also to brief him on developments back at home. We
had a very good time. We had a very good conversation
on wide ranging issues. He is in very good spirit. He is
recuperating very quickly and he is doing very well".
Asked to speak on the state of President Buhari's health,
Osinbajo said "As I have said, he is in very high spirit. He is
recuperating very quickly. We had a very long conversation.
We spoke for well over an hour. His humor is all there.
He is doing well".
On when President Buhari is expected back home, the
acting poresident said "I think very soon. Very very soon. I think we should expect him back very soon. As I said, he is recuperating very very fast".
On when the two Ministers cleared by the senate would be
sworn in, Osinbajo said he is not in a position to give a date
for that.
