Resident of Benue state are at the moment staging a protest in the state capital, Makurdi, over the repeated attacks carried out by suspected herdsmen in some communities in the state.

Resident of Benue state are at the moment staging a protest in the state capital, Makurdi, over the repeated attacks carried out by suspected herdsmen in some communities in the state.

Just yesterday, suspected Fulani herdsmen attacked a village in Guma and Logo Local Government Areas of the state, killing over 20 persons mostly women and children.

The protesters are calling for an immediate action by the Federal government towards stopping these repeated attacks that have carried on for a while.

Some persons were feared dead when soldiers allegedly opened fire on armless residents protesting against Fulani herdsmen killings in Benue State

Residents of Makurdi, the state capital, had on Wednesday, trooped out to protest against attack on communities by suspected herdsmen in which over 50 people were killed and 30 injured.WATCH VIDEO
