Troops within 8 Task Force Division Area of Responsibility have denied Boko Haram terrorists room to conduct their nefarious activities in Geidam.
A statement from Col. Timothy Antiga, deputy director, army public relations 8 task force said this was the second time in four days that the gallant troops of 158 Task Force Battalion had been repelling the militants within its area of operation.
“The rest fled into nearby bushes. Equipment recovered include an AK 47 riffle, 2 magazines, 36 rounds of 7.26 millimeters ammunition, grenade and 2 Motorcycles. Other items include desert camouflage uniform, 2 mobile phones, motorcycle spare parts, dry cell batteries, 2 pairs of sandals and N6000 cash,” the statement said.
In a related development, vigilant troops of 159 Task Force Battalion have apprehended a notorious Boko Haram terrorists, Mr Abbas Abubakar.
