Man arrested for stealing entire house

Myanmar Police said that they arrested a man arrested in
Yangon for stealing an entire house.

“We are investigating this case now”, an officer from the South
Dagon police station told dpa on Tuesday.

Witnesses said they saw at least one person taking the 
house apart and taking it away in a car.

The incident happened during the weekend on the outskirts of
Yangon.

Houses there are usually bamboo structures.

According to local newspaper Eleven, an ownership dispute
might be behind the theft.

It was earlier sold by someone who appears to not be the
rightful owner.

The South Dagon police station filed charges against the
arrested suspect.

It is unclear if the house can be put together again.
