Premier League club Arsenal have made it to the semi-finals of the 2017 FA Cup championship after beating unheralded Lincoln City 5-0 in their quarter-final duel on Saturday,
March 11, 2017 at the Emirates stadium.
Going into this encounter, the Gunners knew that anything less than victory will not be accepted from their faithfuls
who are still battling with the pains of their embarrassing defeat to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League.
Lincoln City were impressive in the first 20 minutes
before Englishman Theo Walcott broke their defense in
the 45th minute scoring the first goal.
Frenchman Olivier Giroud netted the second goal for the Gunners in the 53rd before an own goal from Luke
Waterfall five minutes later gave Arsenal fans the hope of victory.
Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey scored in the 72nd and 75th minute respectively to give Arsenal the deserved win
at the Emirates stadium.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will now hope of at least winning a trophy this term with the Gunners in case he decide to quit in the summer.
