Devastated owner carries over dying dog

Dave Wright took loyal hound George to the beauty 
spot where they have enjoyed thousands of walks during
 their 15 years together

A devastated pet owner carried his dying dog for one

heartbreaking final walk before he was put to sleep.

George, the 15-year-old pet , was too ill to walk around the

beauty spot where they have enjoyed thousands of trips

 together over the years.

So owner Dave Wright carried his loyal dog to make sure George

enjoyed one final outing.

The pair visited the Cave Hill country park, just outside Belfast. 

Holding back tears, Mr Wright said: "We have had 15 great

 years together and as he is getting put down this week, I

 thought it only right that we take one last walk together."

Mr Wright took his beloved dog everywhere with him

 - even on motorbike trips.

When Mr Wright visited his girlfriend in Belfast, and left

 George with her for a while, the pooch waited for a good 

time to say his goodbyes and hightailed it back to his owner's

 home in Thornfield, Carrickfergus.
