Manchester United ban Pogba from playing basketball

Manchester United have reportedly banned Paul Pogba, from playing basketball amid fears of detrimental effects on his fitness and body.

Pogba is currently sidelined with a hamstring problem he picked up during the win over Basel in the Champions League in September.

United manager, Jose Mourinho, has admitted the injury is a long-term one, with the Franch midfielder unlikely to return for around six weeks.

And according to the Sun, United’s medical staff believe basketball is impacting the player’s fitness and could lead to muscle strain or knee and ankle problems.

There are even suggestions Pogba’s determination to take to the court may have contributed to his hamstring injury.

The 24-year-old is a big NBA fan and has regularly been pictured shooting hoops in the past, particularly with teammate, Romelu Lukaku last summer.
