The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has announced the suspension of its strike after 10 days.
It, however, said it will review the suspended industrial action in two weeks’ time to assess government’s level of compliance with the agreements reached with the association.
He said “the decision was reached following appeals from the public that the doctors should give the federal government more time to meet their demands.
“There will be a review in two weeks’ time to determine how far the government had gone to honour our agreements.
ERICGOSSIP.COM had reported that Arikawe Adeolu, the General Secretary of NARD, Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Jabi, Abuja, said the outcome of the national executives meeting would determine whether the nationwide indefinite strike would be called off or not.
The federal government had earlier said it had met many of the demands of the doctors, including payment of salary arrears.
