In the aftermath of the recent Badoo killings in Oke – Ota, Ibeshe community in Ikorodu, angry residents of the area staged a protest march to the Palace of the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabir Shotobi.
Presently, the protesters are in the Palace of the monarch where they demanded an urgent inquisition into the activities and incessant killings orchestrated by the notorious killer group.
The protest march took the concerned residents mostly women and the aged ones from Ibeshe through the stretch of the T.O.S Benson Street before they accessed the Ayangburen’s Palace, Eyes Of Lagos gathered.
The aggrieved protesters were however joined by Oba Kabir Shotobi who pleaded for calm and promised that the government and relevant security operatives are working to put an end to the menace.
Speaking to Eyes Of Lagos, a resident who joined the protest said “we are tired of the killing. We can’t leave our homes because of a faceless gang that commits evil only when it is dark.
“It is high time we put an end to the killings. We believe if the community leaders and monarchs are not influenced, we can get the peace we crave for. We need to have sound sleeps in our various homes.”
Recall that on Saturday, July 29, 2017, a family of five was hacked to death in the home in Ibeshe, Ikorodu. The situation generated led to apprehension in the area as the residents kept watch to avert further attacks.
