A Zimbabwean pastor, Innocent Bhera, has landed in trouble after he bought a married woman an underwear gift.
Bhera was dragged to a court in Gutu district of Masving,
after giving another man’s wife a parcel gift full of underwear.
The woman immediately reported the incident to her
husband,Machingauta, who had been away for some weeks.
Machinguata who was offended took the matter to the
local chief. The chief who was simply identified as, Nyamandi, asked the pastor to pay $400 or bovine beast.
The ERICGOSSIP gathered that the pastor who was unhappy with the judgement put in an appeal to the Gutu magistrates court where he also lost.
He later appealed to the High Court where Justice Alphas
Chitakunye laughed him away. He ruled: “ There was
virtually nomerit (in the appeal). The evidence led clearly favoured the respondent’s (husband) case. The magistrate’s finding on credibility cannot be said to be so unreasonable as to warrant this court’s interference.”
