Arsene Wenger expected to agree new Arsenal deal in March 2017

Club officials hope the debate over their manager’s future can end in the March international window with him signing a new two year deal.

Arsenal are hoping Arsene Wenger will commit his future to the club before the end of the season.

Club officials hope the debate over their manager’s future can end in the March international window with him signing a new two year deal.

That is set to happen around March 22 when England play Germany in Dortmund.

It has been widely expected that the debate surrounding Wenger’s future at the Emirates would run until the summer when his 21 years in charge would be reviewed.

The Arsenal board have been clear in their view that they want their manager’s future sorted so they can turn their attentions to star players Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.

The belief is that Ozil will agree to stay and extend his current contract that has 18 months to run.

That will leave Sanchez as the outstanding remaining star to sign a contract extension.
